San Francisco police have not released much information about a shooting that took place on Thursday in the city’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood but they have said that one man has died and another was injured. The man who died has been identified as 21-year-old Samuel Jessop-Burciaga. The injured man has been confirmed as the victim and has been described as a 27-year-old Asian man, reports KTVU.
According to multiple sources of ABC 7 News Anchor Dion Lim, Burciaga, and another man allegedly tried to rob the victim. The victim allegedly wrestled a gun away from Burciaga and shot him in the face. Burciaga collapsed on the victim and the alleged second robber fired shots injuring the victim.
Samuel Jessop Burciaga was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was rushed to the hospital but his condition remains unclear.
