The San Jose Police department announced they arrested a man suspected of robbing more than three dozen Asian women of their purses in the Bay Area. According to MSN, Hassani Burleson-Ramsey was arrested Wednesday in Oakland. Police are still looking for a second suspect in connection to the robberies.
According to police, the two suspects allegedly snatched nine purses in San Jose and thirty more in other areas in the Bay. The two allegedly operated by targeting Asian women in parking lots of shopping centers. The two would use their car to block the victim’s car and one of them would smash the victim’s window and grab their purse then flee. Soon after, the victims would notice fraudulent activities on their credit cards.
Hassani Burleson-Ramsey faces multiple felony robbery charges and misdemeanor vandalism.
