The e-sports world is mourning after one of their professional players passed away at the young age of 20. It is unclear how Kim “Alarm” Kyeong-Bo died but his team Philadelphia Fusion announced the news on November 7th, reports Kotaku. The team announced just last month that Kim would be joining their team.
“We are devastated and heartbroken to hear about Kim ‘Alarm’ Kyeong-Bo’s passing,” the team wrote. “Alarm was the heart and soul of our organization, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as we mourn this tragic loss.”
Kim was an amazing Overwatch player. He was named the 2020 Rookie of the Year, nominated for Most Valuable Player, and won the Role Stars award. He was born in 2001 in South Korea.
Kim’s cause of death has not been revealed.
