On Friday, eight people died while attending a Travis Scott concert in Texas, reports ABC 7 News. Around 50,000 people attended the music festival at NRG Stadium and around 9:30 pm, the crowd rushed to the front when Travis Scott came on causing people to crush into each other. Chaos ensued and eight people in the age range of 14 to 27 were killed.

Amongst the eight victims, 27-year-old Danish Baig died while protecting his fiance, reports AsAmNews. Baig was born in Pakistan and grew up in Texas, reports The Washington Post. According to his brother Basil, authorities told him that Danish died from cardiac arrest due to lack of air.

“Travis Scott and his team and everyone associated in the event should and will be held responsible. He [didn’t] stop the show even with people chanting and to stop the show. He allowed it this was a blood bath and all of it is on his hands,” Basil said.

As of now, six of the eight victims have been identified.

  • John Hilgert – 14
  • Brianna Rodriguez – 16
  • Franco Patino – 21
  • Jacob E. Jurinek – 20
  • Rudy Pena – 23

Police said 25 people were transported to the hospital and 13 of them remain hospitalized. Authorities said they are investigating the incident.

Travis Scott went on social media and sent out his prayers to the victims.
