NYPD looking for man accused of attacking men speaking Cantonese

The NYPD released surveillance video of a man they said attacked three men for speaking Cantonese in Brooklyn, reports AMNY. The incident occurred in front of a restaurant on 6418 20th Avenue on November 2nd around 8:30 pm. Police said the assailant walked by three men ages – 51, 56, 57, and made fun of them for speaking Cantonese. The 56-year-old confronted the suspect and the suspect allegedly punched the 56-year-old in the face before pulling out a knife. He then allegedly sprayed some kind of liquid substance possibly pepper spray on them.

The victims were transported to the local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

Police described the suspect as a heavy-set bearded black man between 25 – 35 years of age.
