Masi Oka who is best known for his role in the television series “Heroes” will join the cast of “Bullet Train,” reports Deadline. The movie stars Brad Pitt, Joey King, Andrew Koji, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, and Zazie Beetz. It will be directed by David Leitch who directed Hobbs & Shaw. The screenplay will be written by Zak Olkewicz.
“Bullet Train” is an adaptation of the Japanese novel “Maria Beetle” authored by Kotaro Isaka. According to TBS News, the movie revolves around five assassins who “find themselves on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are not unrelated to one another. The question becomes, who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station.”
Masi Oka is a Japanese American actor who was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his role as “Hiro” in “Heroes.” Since the cancellation of the show, he has appeared in multiple other television shows. It is unknown what his role in “Bullet Train” will be.
