Food Zone employee killed in attempted armed robbery

Four men have been arrested for allegedly taking part in an attempted armed robbery that resulted in a fatal shooting in Fort Washington, Maryland. According to Bay Net, the suspects are 40-year-old Keionta Hagens, 37-year-old Andron Wood, 47-year-old Thaddeus Lamont Wills, and 27-year-old Quasean Reeves. The victim, a Food Zone employee has been identified as 66-year-old John Woo Young Jang.

The incident took place on January 18, 2021, around 1 pm at the Food Zone on Livingston Road. Police were responding to a robbery call but when they arrived at the scene, they found Jang dead with gunshot wounds.

Police said Jang was fatally shot during the robbery attempt of the store.

The suspects have been charged with first degree murder and other related charges.
