On Bobby Lee’s podcast “Tigerbelly,” Constance Wu came up and Bobby had some unflattering things to say about her. The subject of Constance Wu came up after the hosts talked about the “Asian wave” after the success of “Crazy Rich Asians.” Wu was caught up in a social media backlash after she aired out her displeasure at the renewal of her television show “Fresh Off The Boat.” She was called “ungrateful” and a “diva.” Furthermore, rumors broke out that she was an unlikeable person. Source after source slammed Wu for her behavior on set. Now, Bobby Lee confirmed that Wu had a bad reputation for a while now.
“Here’s the truth, I wanna tell you the truth,” Bobby began. “I don’t give a s–t because I don’t know her. I don’t know her okay. But here’s the truth, I know this.
“I know that there have been people, several people that didn’t want to work with her because of her reputation.
“She’s nightmarish,” he continued. “And I’m not the only one. This is common knowledge. This isn’t something I’m making up out of thin air.
“It reminds me of when I first moved to LA and hearing stories about Bill Cosby.”
His co-host on “Tigerbelly,” Khalyla Kuhn jumped in to refute the last claim. “You should not put his name on par with Constance Wu,” she said. “She didn’t put quaaludes…”
“No, no, no, no. Not in the means of the actual acts,” Bobby explained. “The acts are two separate things. But in terms of whispers in the night…I’ve always heard that about her.”
Bobby goes on to explain how thankful he is to be working in the entertainment industry before going back to talking about Wu.
Khalyla said, “Even though she’s allowed to feel like she wants to pursue other projects, I think there is a sense of ingratitude and I think that’s what people are feeling…even if you hate it, you don’t have to express ingratitude.”
Bobby jumped back in and said, “She thinks that everything she touches is gold because she’s there. It really is, but uh what’s that girl that was in ‘Knocked Up,’ Katherine Heigl
“It was another one with that same whispers in the night. When you come into LA, you hear about Bill Cosby, John Travolta…there called whispers in the night.”
