A Chinese American church in Sacramento, California was burned down on Saturday morning. According to Fox 40 News, the Chinese Gospel Mission church on 15th Street and T Street was heavily damaged due to the fire that was called in around 7:30 am. Firefighters contained the fire around 8:40 am and luckily no one was injured.

“This is under investigation. The building has been abandoned for at least two years. Large amount of damage to the church, especially on the rear side. Only cosmetic and exterior damage on the residential apartment building,” Keith Wade, the Sacramento Fire Public Information Officer told FOX40.

Wade said the fire started from the back and moved to the attic. It is unclear at this time what caused the fire to the Chinese Gospel Mission church.
