BTS had an amazing year last year breaking records and truly established themselves as megastars. Their single “Dynamite” which was dropped in September of 2020 helped the seven-member Kpop boy band secure their first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart becoming the first Kpop song to do so. But the song’s most amazing feat is the fact that it was the most sold single in the United States in 2020, reports Forbes. It was the only song to sell at least one million copies in 2020 in the United States.
“Dynamite” outsold the second best seller by two times. The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” sold 580,000 copies in the United States even though it was released earlier in the year.
The song “Dynamite” is still selling strong today. In the United States it’s currently the best selling song this week.
So how did BTS do this? Besides having a strong rabid fan base, the song has 10 remixes in all different categories like slow jam and EDM. This remixing of songs has become the norm in the music industry used by all artists to keep themselves in the charts so can’t really hate on BTS for that one.
