The best kicker in the NFL has just been named to the Pro Bowl. The Atlanta Falcon’s Younghoe Koo has been named to the 2021 Pro Bowl. This will be Koo’s first Pro Bowl since his rollercoaster career in and out of the NFL.
Koo is a 26-year-old Korean-American who saw a meteoric rise in popularity this year. This comes after a tumultuous time since his pro debut. He initially was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers before getting cut then went over to the New England Patriots where was also cut. But he persisted and turned his career around after signing to the Atlanta Falcons in 2019.
This year was a record year for Koo who has an Atlanta Falcons’ franchise high of 35 field goals made, reports The Falcoholic. Falcon’s Matt Bryant held the record with 34 but Koo still has two games left.
Congratulations to Younghoe Koo who is only the second Korean American to make it to the NFL Pro Bowl following Hines Ward.
