Asian man assaulted in Manhattan subway

A 42-year-old Asian man was assaulted by a stranger while waiting for the Brooklyn-bound B train in Manhattan, New York, reports the Daily News. The victim was at the W. 86th St. station on the Upper West Side on Wednesday, April 7th around 3 pm when 55-year-old Janaria Kelley confronted him.

Kelley allegedly elbowed the victim in the chest after he yelled “If you’re not Bruce Lee, then f**k off!”

The victim did not suffer from any major injuries.

Police were called and they arrested Kelley who was still at the platform. He was charged with attempted assault and aggravated harassment as a hate crime.

This is the second time Janaria Kelley was arrested in a month. He was arrested on March 10th for forcible touching charges and sexual abuse. He allegedly touched a 68-year-old Asian woman’s leg in Chinatown, New York.
