Asian elder robbed and attacked in San Francisco

An 84-year-old Chinese/Filipino man was robbed and assaulted in Laurel Village in San Francisco on Monday afternoon, according to ABC Bay Area reporter Dion Lim. The victim, Marc said he was at a Union Bank ATM along California street when a man confronted him and said “give me your money, give me your money!” reports ABC 7 News. Marc said he tried to get some cash from his bag but the robber hit him twice in the face with a glass bottle. Marc suffered from a broken sinus and bruises.

Bystanders waited with Marc until an ambulance arrived. Police have made no arrests.

Although Marc was attacked, he remains in good spirits because of his family and the kindness of strangers.

“All those people, persons, good people. They don’t leave me until I leave to the hospital… I’m blessed. I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of my family. I wish I know you every one of you,” Marc said.
