An Asian American couple was shocked to find their car tagged with a racial slur while they were watching a movie. According to CBS 46, Sonethida Siharath and her husband were at the Movie Tavern in Suwanee in Gwinett County in Atlanta, Georgia on February 26th when someone spray-painted “ch**k” on their car.
“I don’t have problems with nobody, my husband doesn’t have problems with nobody,” Sonethida, a school teacher said. “We work. We pay taxes. We take care of our kids.”
Although the couple was shook, Sonethida said she’s not going to let anyone bully her.
“I’ve been here in Atlanta for 20 plus years, a schoolteacher, and I’ve never had someone call me that name before,” she said. “So, it’s kind of brand new, shocking.”
Police said a witness saw suspects who were in all black including masks take off in a white 4 door sedan.
