Asian cleaner assaulted in front of Vietnamese restaurant in Brooklyn

NYPD is looking for a man who allegedly punched an Asian cleaning worker in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday around 11 pm, reports ABC New York News reporter CeFaan Kim. The incident occurred in front of Pho Vietnam restaurant located on Avenue U near 13th Street in Homecrest, reports the New York Post.

The suspect allegedly started an argument with the 60-year-old Asian man before punching him in the head.

“F**k you, Chin,” the attacker allegedly said right before he struck the victim. The suspect took off right after.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene. He is not an employee at Pho Vietnam restaurant but an employee at a company that cleans the restaurant.

The Asian Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.
