Ha’s friend was also stabbed multiple times but he survived. Two suspects fled the scene in an SUV with a third suspect driving. And for 20 years Ha’s murder remained unsolved but now police said they arrested the three suspects.

Francis Dagayray, 45, Eutropio Dagayray, 47, and Gilbert Meriales, 45, were arrested last week and booked into Santa County Jail. They were arrested on suspicion of homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, and gang enhancements.

The case was handed off to the San Jose Police Department and District Attorney’s Office Cold Case team in August. The team “connected the dots” after interviewing several witnesses who were initially unwilling to talk. At this time they did not provide any more details but they said the motive for the murder remains unknown.

The three suspects were living in San Jose all this time. Ha’s family moved and his family has not yet been notified.
