78-year-old Korean man severely injured in hit and run in Los Angeles

The police are asking the public for help in finding the driver who fled the scene after hitting an elderly Asian man with his car. The incident occurred on May 30th around 7:35 am in East Hollywood in Los Angeles, CA on Lexington Avenue and Vermont Avenue, reports CBS Los Angeles News. The 78-year-old Korean man was walking in a marked crosswalk when the driver ran a red light and hit him, according to police.

The driver left the scene without rendering aid to the senior.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but is in stable condition.

Police described the vehicle as possibly a “2010 – 2015 dark colored Mazda CX-7.”
