72-year-old Asian elder murdered during carjacking in St. Louis

St. Louis, Missouri police arrested a 47-year-old man for allegedly murdering a man after carjacking him. Carmain Milton is accused of robbing 72-year-old Chen-Hsyong Yang of his car then running him over with it, reports RiverFront Times.

The incident occurred on September 28th in the morning in the Central West End around the 300 block of North Boyle Avenue. Milton allegedly stole Yang’s Honda by gunpoint then hit Yang while he sped off. Authorities arrived at the scene and transported Yang to the hospital where he passed away.

Police located the stolen Honda shortly after and arrested the suspect after chasing him down on foot.

Carmain Milton is also accused of carjacking a couple as they walked to their car in the early morning of the same day.

Milton has been charged with second-degree murder and robbery. He has a past criminal history of robbery and stealing.

According to Legacy, Yang was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and moved to the United States to study chemical engineering. He worked for Monsanto (Bayer) for 30 years and retired in 2009. He is survived by his wife Hui Mei Yang who he’s been married to for 47 years and their daughters and grandchildren.
