Another Korean celebrity was found dead at a young age. According to SCMP, Korean rapper Chung Heon-chul or better known as “Iron” was found dead on Monday in Seoul, South Korea. A security guard found him bleeding outside his building laying on some grass. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“We were called in by a [apartment] guard who told us they discovered Iron,” the Seoul Jonbug Police Station said according to Soompi. “He was urgently taken to the hospital, but he passed away.”
The police said the investigation into his death will be concluding because there was no possibility of it being a homicide.
“The result of the investigation is there is no possibility it was homicide and the cause of death is clear, so we will not be conducting an autopsy,” the police said.
However, authorities have not released a cause of death.
Iron came to fame as a contestant on the hit Korean hip hop television show “Show Me the Money 3” in 2014. But he fell into trouble for physically abusing his girlfriend, taking marijuana, and allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old roommate with a bat.
Chung Heon-chul is the latest Korean celebrity to have passed away at a young age. This past Saturday, actress and model, Song Yu Jung died at the age of 26.
