A 16-year-old teenage boy was murdered on Friday in Rainier Beach in Seattle. According to KTVL, Earl Estrella was shot and killed after he opened the front door to his home on the 9400 block of Waters Avenue. Police do not know if the teenager was targeted or not.
Estrella’s stepfather Phouvieng Soneouthay was home during the shooting. He told KTVL, his stepson opened the door after he heard someone knocking then the sound of multiple gunshots. He came out of his room to find Estrella on the floor with gunshot wounds.
Police have no description of the gunman. Police Interim Chief Adrian Diaz said another juvenile was shot in the area this month.
A Gofundme has been setup to help Earl Estrella’s family pay for funeral expenses.
“For those of you who knew and loved Earl, this news is absolutely devastating as he was only 16 years old and was a kind and sweet person. He loved his family, especially his siblings, Ryan, Jlord, MJ, and Kayla.
In this time of unspeakable tragedy and mourning, we are asking for help with his funeral expenses. Any amount is greatly appreciated and if you cannot donate at this time, sharing this post will also go a long way. I am coordinating this campaign with support of my Ate Alma.
On behalf of the family, your love and support is greatly appreciated.
